It seems more and more that figures are slowly moving in a very ecchi direction. You’d be hard pressed to find any major Japanese toy manufacturer not making a piece whose clothes you can cast off. Thank god for that. Like many other figures on this site, this Petra statue by Yamashita is recommended for mature collectors. It is another Yamashita great brought to the third dimension by Aoshima. Petra would have to be my favorite of the Funny Knights characters (I have a thing for blondes) and thank god this figure doesn’t dissapoint. Petra is a lovely 1:7 scale PVC statue bearing tonnes of extras. She weilds a massive staff, has a completely optional clothing. You can strip this girl down to the bare essentials to appreciate all the curves the oh so talented sculpter gave her. I really like how the whole olde English clothing theme carried over to the figure. Yes, the fact that her clothes come off completely is a good thing, but they look so awesome on her and undoubtedly add most of the appeal (at least for me) to the figure. The hat is obviously one of the focal points of the figure and is as intracately detailed as the rest of the figure. I love the little extras we’re getting with our statues these days. It seems every company has stepped it up a bit and the consumer is hitting payday. Pick up this beautiful figure now before they’re all gone and she becomes a dream from your past.

This is Lily Salvatana the ultra sexy gunslinger from Satsuriku no Jango. She is the last figure in Alter’s Zoku: Satsuriku no Jango Series. Lily is a damn impressive looking figure and comes armed with a pistol and other weapons.  This figure is extremely detailed all the way from her long-flowing lavender hair to her exquisite and intricate costume. What else do you expect from the always improving Alter? This is another one of the gratuitously large chested figures. In my opinion, it’s a shame that her knockers are so big. You cannot display stuff like this without looking like a perv when your girlfriend’s parentes come over for the weekend. There’s a certain line that boobs get past which completely destroys a figures reputation as a respected piece of art and transcends over to lonely fanboy pervert. These fun bags have crossed that line. Not that it’s any fault of the sculpter. I absolutely love Tanaka Senu and think that if he sculpted ever single figure for the rest of time, I would be a happy man, but seriously, the boobs are the first thing you notice. Most poeple will stop right there and not look at the rest of this incredible figure.  The 1/8 scale 22cm figure is slated for release this month at Alter’s suggested retail of 7,140 yen. Pre-orders are selling out quick so click the link you like below and see if your favorite store still has some left.

I am pleased to introduce you to the best way to rest your wrist on a table. There is nothing softer and more supple in this world than a good pair of mammaries. I guess these are going to stay out of the San Francisco stores almost entirely because they’re too classy. I know what you’re thinking, “how can a mousepad with breasts that support your wrist be classy?” I believe it is solely because the girl on it is drawn on and not a real life picture. You can show your kids this one and bring it to work and only offend a few people who probably voted for Bush. Twice. Anyways, these mousepads are available all over the place and it seems that everybgody has their hand in a design or two. The entertainment earth mousepad pictured above features a pink-haired anime girl named Yumi dressed in a white swimsuit. She’s cute as hell, well endowed and best of all, the thing actually works. The ample breasts provide incredible support to your wrist! No more carpel tunnel Hooray! No word yet on wheter Yumi will be able to do anything for your tennis elbow. The lovely Chua Churam PVC statue is one of my most anticipated releases of the summer by far. I just can’t get enough of these huge elaborate flowing casts. The colours are also really very pretty and go with the theme of the website pretty damn well too. The idol can be displayed floating majestically on her crystal pedestal (actually just see-through plastic) belting out some gnarly licks on her included pink axe. As always, Alter delivers a jaw dropping sculpt of one of Akifumi Ozawa’s characters with incredible paint. It seems that around the internet this figure has already been accepted as a 1/8 scale model but according to Alter she’s a non-scale 20cm figure. She in no way appears to have anything capable of being cast off (except the guitar) probably in large part to her flowing gorgeous dress. Everybody’s taking preorders right now for what is sure to be one of the hottest figures of the summer.

This is Mylene Hoffman from the manga and anime series 009-1 by the acclaimed Shotaro Ishinomori. The manga was first introduced way back in 1967 and ran until 1970 so this character has plenty of history to her. Mylene is a cyborg who works as a secret agent with, get this, machine gun jubblies. Yes, just like the fembots in Austin Powers, Mylene can entice you (much like she’s doing right now) and shoot the living bejesus out of you with her tatas. In addition to the boob guns Mylene rocks a very retro chic raygun called the WA-P009, wears earring communicators and hides a needle gun in her boots. What man alive would not fall for her devious pose. I mean come on, that has to be the sexiest pose and outfit I’ve ever seen on a chunk of plastic. The breasts are absolutely perfect; not too big, not too small. The details of her abs, hips, thighs and lower back are what really get me going. She looks like she is made this way because no real human beings look this good naked. This is probably one of my favorite Happinet or Chrono Gate figures I’ve ever seen. The quality rivals that of companies that normally produce far better figures like Alter or Kotobukiya. The production value of this figure is above average but the paint is completely mediocre. The skin is essentially monotone which in today’s figurine world and this price range is unacceptable. She is, however, a beautiful sculpt that no fan of 009-1 should be without.

It seems everybody has their favorite Ikki Tousen character since they have exploded on to the figurine scene. It’s a tough call to maket too considering all the competition. Kanu Unchou is absolutely gorgeous, shapely and absolutely terrifying. Ryofu Housen is absolutely adorable and has a couple nice statues. Chouun Shiryuu exudes confidence and beauty unparralleled by her companions. Sonsaku, I would have to say she is my least favorite, but that means nearly nothing because remember how hot she was in that PVC Chinese dress? Super hot. Despite all the other beautiful girls, Ryomou takes my cake. I don’t know if it’s because she’s repeatedly dressed in the hottest outfits, or if it’s the handcuffs, or the eyepatch. I have no idea, but it’s something. The girl is always super hot, dangerous, and mysterious. Ryomou seems to always get the best figures too, this one being no exception. The pearl black Cerberus Project figure is a variant of the original blue statue that was released last year. Personally, I like the pearl black one more, but I’ve read differing opinions. Regardless, this is a fine piece from French Doll / Cerberus Project that any Ikki Tousen collector should have. This is your chance to own a beautiful kit before it’s gone. I got mine.

Despite the utter disappointment of the Old Snake Real Action Heroes figure, I am really very excited about the Raiden figure. I have felt, as of late, that Medicom had given up. They had gems popping up every once in a while, but they didn’t seem to be the powerhouse that released only the best figures and toys. I’m holding out hope for this Raiden figure. The amount of detail is absolutely unparalleled. This isn’t one of your “frills on her pleated skirt” figures, it is in a whole other league altogether. Through his camouflage, you can actually see the ripples in his muscle tissue. The eyebrows, the eyelashes, even the look on his face is unparalleled in the world of figures.  This is a beautiful creation.
Raiden is rocking his suit from the recently released Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots which is laden with awesome technology and neato script. Every square millimeter of Raiden’s body is covered with intricately detailed craftsmanship. My favorite part of the figure is the helmet; it looks so futuristic. The helmet has two blinders that fold in from the side to cover his eyes and a transparent face shield that is adorned with that super cool military print mumbo jumbo.
I am, however, questioning the mouth. On the one hand, it is absolutely terrifying which, in my opinion, is awesome. It looks like Raiden has had his lower jaw removed and replaced with the helmets chin strap. On the other hand, this leaves Raiden with no lower lip, exposing his monstrous silver teeth which may or may not have been stolen from Paul Wall. Raiden could beat the snot out of Paul Wall so I guess it’s safe to assume they were his. The other thing I don’t really know about is the stiletto’s he’s reppin’. I’m sure they make him more agile, run faster, or jump higher but they look kinda weird. Could be just me. This figure already looks to be leaps and bounds better than the recently released Old Snake figure, if only in pictures and will probably be the one time Raiden is cooler than Snake. Pre-orders for this magnificent figure have started but they are still attainable if you know where to look. This may be one of the nicest figures you ever buy.
