I was scanning some sites to see what was making news in the figurine world today when I stumbled across this little gem. From the Highschool of the Dead series, Chara-Ani brings us the show’s hottest character, Busujima Saeko. Oh my god. I love these girls in aprons. I guess some guys like the bunnies, some like the maids, some even like the little school girls, but for me, it has to be the apron. The Yuria Hyaku-Shiki Statue got me started on this apron trip I guess. I think it’s really the potential for side-boob that gets me going. I can’t think of anything I like better than side-boob. Full on front boob doesn’t even do it for me like side-boob does. Anyways, the Busujima figure delivers on both, the side-boob and the uninhibited frontal shot due to not just a cast-offable apron, but what appears to be two completely different aprons. Busujima’s long flowing purple hair is something else that appeals directly to me. I can’t get enough of hair in action and who doesn’t love purple hair? She’s wearing a skimpy little thong on the bottom half, complete with the strings hanging down on her hips; very sexy. She comes armed too. From the pictures I see a dagger on her arm and she’s holding a katana with the sheath backwards behind her in what I believe to be the most bad-ass form of holding a sword. She makes it look dangerous and sexy as she shoots you that coy little smirk on her face. Overall, a very nice figure worth the price tag and the waiting period. You should certainly pick her up from one of the fine online retailers listed below.

Who’s ready for yet another Saber statue? Good, cause you’re gonna get one. The nice thing about the Revoltech and Figma Sabers was the price. The nice thing about the Gift Saber is basically everything else. Don’t get me wrong, the price isn’t high at all, just higher than a Figma or Revoltech figure. As I’m sure everybody already knows, Saber is Shiro’s servant from Fate/stay Night. She is the strong silent type and could probably beat the snot out of your favorite anime character. The mold is a Satoshi Toda original and is certainly one of my favorite poses for any non poseable Saber yet. What’s not to love about this statue? Saber is standing confidently pointing her sword into the base stand rocking the wind blown hair look. She’s wearing her trademark “knights of the round table but chic” look and it starts right at the boots. The boots are incredibly detailed, as is the rest of the statue, and nothing is left to chance or your imagination. Follow the armoured boots up her legs and you get to my favorite part of the statue. Her skirt is doing the whole Marilyn Monroe over a subway vent thing and it looks awesome. Work your way up the statue to the intricately detailed chest plate and gauntlets and by this time, you should be sold on the figure. There is still a beautfully shaped and styled head above, but that shouldn’t matter at this point. Saber’s hair is a beautiful colour, it is flowing in the wind, and it is tied beautifully at the back with her signature blue ribbon. Her face is confident yet reassuring and comforts you of your most recent statue purchase. Pick her up, you won’t be sorry.

Guess what? It’s super happy cute time for you!!! Seriously, I don’t think I’ve seen a cuter figure. This will be our recently posted about Saber but this time from the Fate/Tiger Coliseum series, and she’s quite obviously dressed as a Lion. Rawr. Anyways. The figure is produced by the good folks at Good Smile Company, still rocking the most Japanese English name in anime statues (also the most English Japanese name) and continuing to pump out incredible figures. Yeah it’s super cute and everything, but where this figure really shines is all the little extra stuff it comes with. For heads alone we have a screaming intense head, a crying/sad head, and a scribbled out eyes/confused/dazed head. The figure also comes with meat on a bone, chopsticks and a bowl, and all the hands and arms necessary to carry said bonus fun items. I don’t know if I’d specifically make an order for this one, but for twenty-five bucks, who wouldn’t just throw her on top of an already ample order? I don’t know one person. Except maybe my brother, he doesn’t really get the whole anime figure thing.

Finally, an affordable version of a super slick Rider statue from a reputable company. I can’t say that I have been specifically waiting for this figure, but now that it’s here, I definitely want it. The Cerberus Project Rider doll is definitely an eye catcher. I love figures in action poses and it doesn’t get much better than this. Rider is in one of those poses right after you get knocked back by a worthy adversary but don’t quite hit the ground. Her hair is flailing wildly and beautifully and I must admit it’s what initially drew me to the figure. Apart from the incredible hair, her head is pretty awesome due to the super creepy eye mask and marginally more creepy Mystic Eyes when you take the mask off. The chains of her weapons litter the ground artfully as she readies her counter-attack and quite simply looks bad-ass. ebCraft says you should see this gem in stores in late October, but as per usual, you can make sure you get yours by following the link of your favorite seller and reserving yours today.

Just when you thought I was getting classier, this gets posted and everything goes back to nil. With everything out the window, let me assure you that this figure is among the elite when it comes to sculpts, paints and attention to detail. This is the latest from French Doll/Cerberus Project and it certainly stands out in a crowd. She is the second installment in the “Young Hip Cover Girl” transformations to 3D and my favorite. Let’s start at the top. Her hair is very cute. Often, I’m a fan of huge purple action hair flailing around all willy nilly. This figure shows you exactly why not to exclusively look at long haired figures. You’re gonna miss out on some incredible figures if you do. Her eyes are perfectly placed on the noggin and they’re not too big. I’m a fan of figures with reasonably sized eyes on their head, comparable to human eyes. If they throw in a little bit extra to tug at my emotions I’m usually okay with it too. In the end, I really dig the whole face; the eyes are perfectly sized and placed, the mouth sports a very simple yet evocative smirk and the leather choker and chain earrings really top it all off. Moving down the figure, we get to my favorite part. Her breasts are just barely covered as she pulls her white tank down over them to keep your perverts from looking. The good news is that the tank can be pulled off to completely expose her if need be. The breasts and shirt are said to be made of a squishy material so as to emulate the real things (Yippee!!!). All these things are great and all but what I really like about the figure is the incredibly hot tan lines. They are so perfectly shaded and placed. The tan colour runs into the regular skin colour so flawlessly and naturally that I cannot keep my eyes off of it. Tan lines on the hips are even hotter. She is wearing cotton panties that she is playfully tugging higher than her tan line. At the bum, she pulls her panties up into her butt exposing the horizontal tan line that is still below the top of her butt crack. My God. Topping it all off are the hottest black lace stockings I have ever seen rendered on a PVC figure and some super sexy knee high black leather boots. If you can get away with displaying this, or if you just want it for personal reasons (I won’t judge), this is at the top of the ecchi game. Few figures look this incredible let alone ones whose clothes you can take off. The figure is released in Decemeber so save your place in line for this figure from one of the fine websites below.

The Good Smile Company brings us this absolutely beautiful figure and probably the most Japanese name in toys. GSC announced the release of this figure for November 2008 and I for one cannot wait that long. Unlike some of the other ecchier figures I have posted, Ryogi bleeds class and distinction. She was first displayed at GSC’s booth during Wonder Festival 2008 Summer and ever since then I have been dying for a release date. She is dressed in a beautiful light pink kimono with a stunning royal blue belt. It is styling like this that makes statues sell. Unlike other more naked figures, Ryogi is absolutely beautiful here and can be appreciated by everybody. Some figures are kind of personal; you know the ones you have to pull down off display when the in-laws come over for dinner? This will be a beautiful figurine and I eagerly await her arrival in my mail box. November can not come soon enough.

Ignis is becoming one of the characters with the best figure releases ever. This is just another feather in her cap. Yamato brings us another beautiful Ignis figure that rivals all the previous Ignis releases including her extremely coveted white dress figure. There’s not really much I can tell you about this figure that you can’t see in the picture but the clothes Ignis is wearing could be cast off on the garage kit version of this figure and knowing Yamato’s history of PVC, the statue should be the same. Normally, Yamato’s figures don’t really blindsight me like this. I might just have to become a really big Yamato fan if they keep producing figures this perfect. I really like the fact that she’s wielding the katana in one hand but the other one is perfectly poised for a fully automatic sub-machine gun (like in the original picture). Her breasts are perfectly shaped, her stomach is incredible and the little belly button is hot as hell too. Her long flowing red hair is always a huge focal point and the Yamato figure is no different. This figure is sure to change people’s minds about Yamato for the better. Ignis is far from finished on the anime figure scene. There’s no debating that this is a must buy for anybody who considers themselves a collector of fine PVC figurines.
